A customer recently bought a 2017 Volvo XC60, but it came with only one key. They wanted a spare for peace of mind, losing all keys can be very expensive
The dealership quoted $900 plus the cost of a key fob for this job. I went to the car and cut an emergency key on-site, retrieved the immobilizer module data, and programmed a brand-new OEM key, all for less than the dealer quote.
